Kollectin, operated by Posnap, Inc. ("Kollectin," "we," "our," or "us"), provides the Kollectin Order Helper Chrome extension ("Extension") to assist authorized users in transferring order information from the Kollectin platform to supported third-party online shopping platforms.
This Privacy Policy explains what information the Extension accesses, how that information is used, where it is transmitted, and how it is protected.
The Extension is designed for authorized Kollectin users, including participants in limited pilot programs.
2. Purpose of the Extension
The Extension has one primary purpose: to help authorized users transfer selected order items into a supported online shopping cart.
The Extension may:
Retrieve order information required to prepare a shopping cart.
Interact with supported shopping websites to add selected products to the cart.
Display cart transfer results, status messages, and operational reminders.
Report cart transfer status to Kollectin's backend service.
Users remain responsible for reviewing their shopping carts and completing purchases directly through the applicable shopping platform.
The Extension does not independently process payments or complete checkout transactions.
3. Information Accessed and Processed
The Extension may process the following information as necessary for its functionality:
Order and Product Information
Product identifiers, selected quantities, and related information necessary to prepare and populate the shopping cart.
Shopping Cart Interaction Information
Information needed to determine whether products have been successfully added to the shopping cart, including relevant response messages and operational errors returned by the shopping platform.
Transfer Status Information
Information indicating the result of a cart-transfer operation, reported to Kollectin's backend service.
Temporary Browser Storage
Order information may be temporarily stored in the user's browser to support the cart-transfer process.
The Extension does not retrieve completed order confirmation numbers from the third-party shopping platform.
4. Websites and Services Accessed
The Extension interacts with supported third-party shopping platforms and Kollectin's backend services to facilitate authorized cart-transfer operations.
Third-Party Shopping Platforms
The Extension accesses supported shopping platforms to assist users in adding selected products to their shopping carts.
Website access is limited to the permissions necessary to support the disclosed cart-transfer functionality.
Kollectin Backend Services
The Extension communicates with Kollectin's backend infrastructure to report cart-transfer status and support related operational functions.
The Extension does not collect general browsing history or monitor unrelated browsing activity.
5. Browser Permissions
The Extension uses the following Chrome permissions:
Storage (storage)
Used to temporarily retain order information and workflow state needed to complete a cart-transfer operation.
Alarms (alarms)
Used to support timed operations, including expiration and cleanup of temporary order information.
Website Access
Used to interact with the supported shopping website and perform the disclosed cart-transfer functionality.
The Extension does not request the activeTab permission.
6. Temporary Data Storage and Deletion
Order information temporarily stored in the user's browser by the Extension is automatically cleared when:
The cart-fill operation is completed.
The user cancels the operation.
The temporary order data reaches its 30-minute expiration.
These rules apply to order data temporarily stored by the Extension in the user's browser.
Information separately maintained by Kollectin's backend service or third-party shopping platforms may be subject to their respective retention practices.
7. Data Transmission and Use
The Extension transmits information necessary to populate the shopping cart on the supported shopping platform.
It also reports cart-transfer status information to Kollectin's backend service at wellness-api.kollectin.com.
Information processed through the Extension is used to provide the cart-transfer functionality and associated operational support.
Kollectin does not sell data accessed through the Extension to third parties, data brokers, or advertising platforms.
Kollectin does not use information accessed through the Extension for personalized advertising.
8. Analytics and Tracking
The Extension does not include third-party analytics software, advertising trackers, Sentry, or dedicated error-monitoring services.
It does not independently collect analytics for advertising or behavioral profiling.
Cart-transfer status reporting to Kollectin's backend service is part of the Extension's operational functionality.
9. Data Security
Kollectin takes reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed through the Extension.
These measures include:
Using HTTPS connections for communication with supported online services.
Limiting data processing to the Extension's disclosed functions.
Temporarily storing order data only as required for cart-transfer operations.
Automatically clearing temporary browser order data according to the conditions described in Section 6.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and Kollectin cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Third-Party Shopping Platforms
The Extension interacts with independently operated third-party shopping platforms.
These platforms may independently collect, process, and retain information according to their own privacy policies and terms of service.
Kollectin does not control the independent data-handling practices of these third-party platforms.
The Extension is independently developed and provided by Kollectin. It is not represented as an official product of, or endorsed by, any third-party shopping platform.
11. Chrome Web Store User Data Policy
Kollectin's use of information accessed through the Extension is intended to comply with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Information accessed through the Extension is used only to provide or improve its disclosed functionality and for other uses permitted under applicable Chrome Web Store policies.
Kollectin does not sell or transfer such information for advertising, data brokerage, or unrelated commercial profiling.
12. Authorized Use and Distribution
The Extension may be distributed on an unlisted basis to authorized pilot users.
Unlisted distribution means that the Extension is not ordinarily discoverable through Chrome Web Store search or browsing. However, individuals with the listing link may access it, and the listing may appear in external search engine results.
Users must possess appropriate authorization to access the relevant Kollectin services and supported shopping platforms.
Installing the Extension does not grant users access to third-party accounts or services beyond their existing permissions.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
Kollectin may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the Extension's functionality, technical architecture, data-handling practices, or applicable legal requirements.
When required, material changes will be communicated through appropriate channels.
The current version of this Privacy Policy will be made available on Kollectin's website.
